CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS - We are currently open and seeing patients as scheduled. Because our clinic serves a high risk population, we are taking many precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. CDC approved masks are required at all times in the clinic. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you.

If you have a cough, cold, fever or other flu like symptoms in the last two weeks we ask that you reschedule your appointment with our clinic. At this time, only patient and patient care givers will be allowed into the clinic. These precautions are for the safety of our patients and staff.

Due to high call volumes, we encourage our patients to send messages via the patient portal whenever possible and we will do our best to return calls within 24 hours, based on urgency.

Thank you for your patience during these trying times.

David I. Dryland, M.D., FACR

Dr. David Dryland is a Yale University trained specialist in rheumatology. He has been a Rheumatologist since July of 2000. Before devoting himself to study and practice in the area of rheumatic disorders, he was previously a doctor of internal medicine.

You may have never heard of a rheumatologist until your referral. There are many rheumatic diseases. Rheumatology is a specialized field of medicine that includes the diagnosis and management of arthritis and related disorders. Such conditions usually involve the joints, but they also may affect other organs including skin, eyes, blood, heart, lungs, kidneys and gastrointestinal tract. Depending on the patient and their history, Dr. Dryland may need to utilize laboratory and/or x-ray testing procedures to ensure accurate diagnosis and proper patient care. Other services patients may receive at the office of Dr. Dryland are joint aspiration procedures and injection treatments for inflamed joints. Dr. Dryland may also act as consultant to your surgeon, providing a second opinion or recommendation regarding your condition prior to a surgery being performed.

While the large majority of patients referred to Dr. Dryland are in need of care for their arthritic disorder, he also provides diagnosis, treatment and assistance with rehabilitation for pain syndromes and obscure inflammatory and immunologic illnesses.
